Upcoming Events

FRIDAY JUNE 10th - Neighborworks volunteer week celebration: There will be a carnival going on at this celebration and we need people to help with setting up, hosting the carnival games and cleaning up after.
We need you whenever you are available between the hours of 5pm-9pm.
This will be held on Betty Gene Drive (which is 70 West) and just off of 6400 S. (Winchester Road)

MONDAY JUNE 13th - Stuffing golf bags with prizes for the upcoming Golf Tournament: We are meeting at the Murray Chamber of Commerce office which is on 5250 South 300 West (Commerce Drive) You will park on the north side of this building and enter through the doors on that side and the office is just on your left side. We need help from 4pm-6pm

WEDNESDAY JUNE 15th - Murray Chamber Golf Tournament: This is at the Murray Parkway Golf Course just off of 6400 South (Winchester Road) and about 1100 West.
(Exact Address: 6345 Murray Parkway Avenue)
We need help with auction items, getting golf carts ready, setting up for lunch, raffle tickets and lots more so we NEED your help anytime you can from 6am-2pm and we will feed you!!

JUNE - It is possible that we will be involved with the Relay for Life at Murray High School
{This is an overnighter - please let me know if you would be interested in this}

MONDAY JULY 4th - 4th of July Parade/Murray Fun Days: We will be in the parade this year passing out flags. We will also be doing a fundraiser at Murray Park but we need your help brainstorming ideas. (Some options include: Face painting, temporary tattoos, noodle necklaces, etc.) So think of any ideas you think would be fun for kids and you would be excited to be involved with!{Leave your ideas in the comments section or email me at mhsprincess@gmail.com}
Parade Meet up: 8am - then we will be at the park doing our fundraiser till about 3pm!
{Note: this fundraiser is very important so we ask that you at least help for 1 hour...this is how we fund many of our activities/projects throughout the year}

AUGUST -We will have a booth at the Salt Lake Fair - more details to come!

We are participating in the Summer of Service program put on by the Lieutenant Governor of Utah; Greg Bell and also the Utah Commission on Volunteers. The person with the most service hours from June 1st - August 31st, 2011 out of the entire State of Utah will recieve lunch with Lt. Governor Greg Bell.

Ribbons to tie April 4th

PLEASE come out to help tie ribbons in front of CITY OF HALL
We have about 4,000 ribbons to tie
to help raise awareness about ending CHILD ABUSE!!!

Come show support for Murray City, the MYCC and Children EVERYWHERE

All of us together will make a HUGE DIFFERENCE

October Upcoming Events

I have not updated this for a while... I am so sorry but I am trying to locate lots of pictures but for now let me tell you the dates of some upcoming events!!

September 30th -Our First meeting is tonight at 7:00pm  City Hall

October 5th Be there at 6:20 - We are getting sworn in at the Murray City meeting (Chamber Dress) City Hall

October 7th - Meet the Candidates night - this will be held at Murray High School! We are setting up at 5:30 so come help if you can then the program is from 6:00 to 8:30!! (Come at 6:00 if you can't come early...we still need help!) (Chamber Dress & Badges if you have them)

October 26th & 27th - Haunted woods at Murray Park - We need TONS of help!! More details to come...but if know anyone not in MYCC wanting to help please call Sheri Vanbibber or Ashley Frederickson (Wear a costume)

Legislation Day at the Capital

We get some pretty amazing opportunities!! In January of this year was a legislation day up at the capital that we were invited to and it was so much fun and a wonderful opportunity. We learned so much and got to take a tour of the entire capital! Hey they even feed us! :)





It was so much fun to actually get to sit on bills that were taking action right then!! You definately learn a lot!

The capital is beautiful and we had lots of fun opportunities.

Murray Safety Fair and Meeting

We have such a HUGE group this year that it will be absolutely AMAZING!!! It was actually pretty hard fitting everyone into this picture! :D But it's truly amazing, because the more people we can get involved, the more projects we will be able to get involved with!!!


We are waiting to be sworn in at the City Meeting!!


The city hall meeting was pretty packed, it was fun to be sworn in in front of such a large crowd.

This was the Police and Fire and Safety fair!!! It was lots of fun serving hamburgers and hotdogs to the families in Murray City!! :)









Such a cute group of girls we have in the MYCC!!

Face Painting for the little league world series... oh good times!
